Camp 2013!
Camp was a great experience with loads of fun cool and challenging activities!
There were many activities that I enjoyed, but the one that really stood out for me was probably archery. I loved doing the archery even though I only got the target once. I also loved doing the kayaking and having the race at the end between me [Rebecca] and Jonty. Boy it was such a race to the finish, but very luckily I just managed to beat him, which now means girls can be better than boys!
So I would like to say a big thank you to all of the parents who helped me out on camp
and have a safe and happy Easter.

Term 1, Week 6
Only one week to go before camp at Lake Rotoiti. The excitement is mounting! You can start bringing in your packet/box of crackers from now on. Look through the gear list to see if there is anything on it you may need to arrange to borrow. If the list is lost, Mr T will have spares.
This is a regular week, with no interruptions!
Homework
Spelling - learn your words by Friday. Try writing them out so that they stay in your brain.
Maths - Complete the next sheet/pages of your maths homework.
Reading - Fill in your reading log during the week.

Good luck also to those competing in the Motueka Swimming Sports tomorrow.
What an amazing success the baking, toy and book stall was on Friday. Congratulations to everyone who took part - this is a great way for you to work towards your camp in two weeks time.

Welcome to Week 3
This week in Room 9.
The Swimming Sports last week went off very well, with all children giving each race their best effort. This week they will receive their certificates, and find out whether they have been selected for the Motueka Area Swimming Sports to be held on Monday 4 March.
I'm hoping this week will be a routine one, with the regular programme getting under way.
Next week, on Friday, will see the school tryathlon taking place. For the next two weeks, if those children who can easily get their bikes to school are able to bring them, we will be able to have some biking practice in the afternoons. Bikes are able to be left in the classroom overnight if you wish.
Homework - This week there will be spelling homework (notebooks necessary), and daily reading to be entered into the reading log. That's all! Until the maths books that will be ordered this week arrive.
If you have any spare icecream containers, we could do with some in the classroom please.
Good luck to Room 8 who are off to camp at Lake Rotoiti on Tuesday.
